United's fortunes on the up.........................
As a long-term Scunthorpe United Season ticket holder part of my Saturday during the football season is spent with my mate Nic, cheering the Iron on at Glanford Park, listening ardently on Radio Humberside on Away Fixtures and following them on their travels on local derbies. This season in particular has seen many of these latter days out which I've enjoyed tremendously.
As a seasoned fan, I feel that this season the team is playing the most attractive football I've seen for years, despite our current league position. Yesterday was a good example and also a significant win at home against Coventry.
Two goals by Patto and Corky were absolute crackers and either wouldn't look out of place on BBC's Goal of the Month. Hopefully this will be the turning point that all the loyal fans have been waiting and we will now have the momentum that has been building over the past few games, the "rub of the green "in the remaining games and dedication, work rate and motivation of the players, the squad and the management and coaching team to enable us to remain in the Championship.
Come on Iron, you can do it!
Regards
Kevin
